Parking
Parking will be available in the large lower parking lots at Eno River State Park. Carpooling is highly encouraged. The race start is a 5-7 min walk up the main entrance road from the parking area. The race will start on this same road near the Piper Cox House, so please note that traffic will be temporarily stopped at 8am to allow for the start of the 11-mile and again at 8:30am for the start of the 6-mile.
Aid Stations
There will be 1 aid station on the course for the 6-mile event (at approx. mile 3) and 2 aid stations on the course for the 11-mile event (at approx. mile 3 and 7). Exact aid station locations and mile markers are indicated on the course map. Water, electrolyte drink, gels, and basic first aid supplies will be available at all aid stations. If you think you will require additional fluids or supplies on the course, we highly recommend that you carry some with you. Many parts of this course are remote and not easily accessible to offer additional aid stations. There are no restrooms on the course.

Restrooms are available near the parking area and near the start area. There are no restroom facilities on the course.
Race Rules
Unregistered runners (pacers, companion runners, dogs, bandits) are NOT ALLOWED. Replacement runners or bib transfers are NOT ALLOWED. Breaking these rules is selfish. You are compromising not only your safety, but also the safety, enjoyment and future of the entire event. Anyone breaking these rules will be disqualified from this and future races. HEADPHONES are NOT permitted on the course.
Trail Etiquette
Please be aware that the race course is not closed to the public, so you may see other hikers, runners, and outdoor enthusiasts on the trail. If you need to pass them, or another runner, please do so at a point in the trail when it is safe to do so and say “passing on the left” in a loud, clear voice. For this reason, headphones are not permitted on the course. And of course, do not litter on the course. Please ensure all trash remains in close proximity to an aid station.
Voluntary Carbon Offset Contribution
As trail runners, we have a special obligation to protect and preserve the natural resources that we enjoy. We would like make the Eno River Run a climate-neutral event, so you can participate by making an optional $3 donation when you register that we forward to NC Greenpower to help offset your individual carbon footprint. Please also consider carpooling to the race.
Awards
Awards will be given for the top 3 overall finishers (M/F) and the top 2 masters finishers (M/F), as well as the top 3 finishers in each age group.
An awards ceremony will be held as soon as scoring results are available the morning of the race.
Post-Race Celebration
We invite you to join us for post-race food, non-alcoholic refreshments, and live music after we cheer you on at the finish!
Team Challenge
If you have at least five others running, you can register as a team. No additional cost, just added fun. Team with the lowest combined score for their top five finishers wins.
